Allison Hansen is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University, currently completing my M.S. while accruing supervised clinical hours in a Christian counseling private practice. Her training emphasizes clinical interviewing, assessment, and individualized treatment planning, with a strong commitment to ethical practice and evidence-based care.
As an Inter, she provides individual and couples counseling within a faith-integrated framework, supporting clients as they pursue healing and personal growth. She values honoring each client’s spiritual beliefs while applying research-supported interventions, maintaining ethical documentation, and engaging in ongoing clinical supervision. Allison works with teens, young adults, and couples—whether preparing for marriage or facing relational struggles.
In addition to clinical work, she brings a strong background in teaching, customer service, nonprofit administration, and community outreach. Her professional experiences have strengthened my communication skills, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and adaptability—qualities that enhance my work with diverse individuals and relational systems.
Allison is under Supervision from Claudia (Chloe) Cooper, LPC, LIAC an AZBBHE Approved Clinical Supervisor. She can be reached at 708-977-1992 and by email at Allison@NewHopeCounselors.com
My approach is shaped by both professional training and personal experience. I use Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to create a safe, supportive space for growth and change.
For those who desire it, I integrate a Christian perspective rooted in grace, hope, and healing.
I am planning on adding EMDR to my approaches as soon as I complete my training.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by past experiences, trauma, or ongoing stress. You want to feel understood, supported, and hopeful, but asking for help feels vulnerable. You may be seeking clarity, emotional healing, or a deeper sense of peace and purpose as you navigate life’s challenges. I am here to walk beside you through these challenges and offer professional insight from my training and life experiences.
I understand how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to begin. I believe there is a path to healing for everyone, and you do not have to walk that path alone. It would be an honor to support you on your journey.
