Jordyn Oleson, finalizing her Master's degree in Counseling as an Intern.
Jordyn’s drive and passion to work in counseling stems from her love of helping others. She has a desire to specialize and dive deep into treating trauma with EMDR, after having her own trauma healed by this approach. She feels the life changing effects EMDR provided her is the main reason she chose to become a therapist. Her experience with the vicious cycle of physical and emotional abuse from a loved one, left her feeling alone. Jordyn credits her fantastic counselor and God with bringing her out of such an extreme situation, finding the specialty she wanted to pursue, and the ability to conquer the impossible, which is where she is now.
She is a master’s level student pursuing her Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree with a Biblical emphasis at Grand Canyon University. She plans to continue her education by pursuing a doctorate to help as many lives as she can.
She was born in Central Oregon but currently resides in Arizona. Along with having a wonderful husband and four-year-old stepdaughter, she enjoys going to church, camping, razor off-roading, water activities, and being with her family.
She is working under the direct supervision of Claudia (Chloe) Cooper, LISAC, LPC, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Jordyn can be reached by phone at 480-788-4770 and by email at jordyn@NewHopeCounselors.com. She sees clients in person at the N Scottsdale and N Phoenix/Anthem offices as well as provides telehealth. She is available Monday through Saturday and looks forward to hearing from you.
