Scott Martin is a pastor and counselor with over 20 years of experience in ministry, outreach, and walking alongside individuals through life’s challenges. Raised in the diverse landscape of the San Francisco Bay Area, Scott developed a deep appreciation for people from all walks of life and a passion for compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
He holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Phoenix Seminary and combines his theological training with evidence-based counseling practices to offer a grounded, holistic approach. His work is rooted in Scripture, guided by clinical insight, and delivered with warmth and authenticity.
Scott has worked extensively with teens, young adults, and couples—whether preparing for marriage or facing relational struggles. He also supports individuals navigating addiction, career transitions, trauma, and other life challenges.
Married for nearly 20 years and a father to two teenage daughters and a young son, Scott brings real-life experience, empathy, and perspective to his work. He considers it an honor to walk with others on their journey toward healing, growth, and restoration.
If you're facing a difficult season or searching for support, Scott would be honored to come alongside you; "If counseling hasn’t worked for you in the past, maybe it’s time to try something different. I carry a deep conviction to walk with individuals, couples, and families through life’s most difficult and transformative seasons. My greatest passion is helping people experience profound healing by inviting Jesus into the hidden corners of their stories; where pain, shame, and struggle often dwell in silence. Together, we’ll explore new ways to cope, heal, and overcome.
While I work from a Christian worldview and a Biblical perspective, you don’t need to share my faith in order for us to work together. My approach is Christ-centered, clinically informed, and rooted in the belief that healing happens through strong, authentic relationships.
My counseling focuses on the deep interconnection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and beliefs. I’m passionate about helping you uncover the roots of your struggles so you can build a life of wholeness, purpose, and peace. I truly believe that no part of your life is beyond healing, no matter how broken or buried it may feel.
I’ve spent over two decades walking alongside those navigating addiction, whether it’s sex, pornography, drugs, alcohol, or codependency. I’ve cared for those carrying the weight of trauma, dysfunctional family systems, or broken marriages. I believe true, lasting transformation often begins with relational restoration: with ourselves, with others, and with God.
I’m not your typical counselor. I’ve lived in places as diverse as the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, and now Arizona. My life has left me with scars and stories; some inked on my skin, others etched deep within. But above all, I’m a survivor. And I bring both personal experience and professional insight to my work. As a husband of 19 years and a father of three (two of whom are teenagers), I understand the complexities of family life and the courage it takes to pursue change.
Please don’t put off your healing any longer. A new way of living is possible—one that’s radically different from what you’ve known. Will you step into it? I’d be honored to walk with you.
