LaTricia (Trish) Haver, LAC, NCC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor working out of the Prescott Office. She is trained in EMDR Therapy. Trish holds a Master’s of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and two Bachelor’s of Science Degrees in Psychology from Liberty University. She attended specialized classes for treating Combat Trauma during her graduate program and enjoys working with this population. She is currently a program advisor on the advisory board for Beal University.
Trish has worked with military families for over thirty years. She remains an experienced advisor to command staff and has formerly served in various volunteer leadership positions Army wide. One of her favorite duties was working with the Army’s Gold-Star program which cares for the families of soldier’s who have been killed in combat. Trish is the mother of a combat veteran and raised a military family, so she is well aware of the challenges and loss the military community encounters. Trish worked for a humanitarian aid organization for a couple of years after moving from Fort Hood, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona. She is familiar with Ethiopian, Israeli, and South Korean culture. During her undergraduate studies she helped Sudanese and Afghani refugees in France. Her graduate program included a trip to Kosovo to learn from genocide survivors. She has a heart for helping individuals who need care due to their service to others. She also enjoys engaging with individuals who have made the United States their second home.
Trish practices both basic and recent event protocols for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She uses an integrative approach to counseling, incorporating aspects of Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Person-Centered Therapy into her sessions. She believes that life should be lived in balance and hopes to help her clients achieve harmony in mind, body, spirit, and soul so that they can feel whole.
Trish is working under the direct supervision of Claudia (Chloe) Cooper, LISAC, LPC, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Trish can be reached by phone at 928-235-2230 and by email at trish@NewHopeCounselors.com. She sees clients in person and via telehealth. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, in Prescott office.
