A Trauma-Informed Spiritual Formation Model for Cultivating Secure Attachment to God
Among Adult Women
Study Participants - qualifications
· Are you a Christian woman over the age of 18, who desires to deepen your security, trust, and relationship with God, and currently attends a local area church?
· Did you experience painful or confusing events during childhood?
· Would you be willing to participate in a research study focusing on spiritual growth and emotional healing?
If you answered yes to each of the questions listed above, you may be eligible to participate in a research study.
Purpose of the study
The purpose of this research study is to develop a spiritual growth program for women that addresses challenges in their secure relationship with God linked to childhood trauma.
What participants will be asked to do
· Meet for individual interviews, before and after the program (30 minutes each)
· Fill out survey and questionnaire forms before and after the program (30 minutes each)
· Participate in 2 weekend intensive retreats, (24 total hours)
· Journal about the impact of the program on your life (15 minutes/day for 10 days)
· Optional - between session exercises (15 minutes/day).
voluntary, private, and no Cost to participate
The study is completely voluntary. You can choose how much information you are willing to share. Your participation is at your discretion and you can leave the study at any time.
Names and other identifying information will be requested as part of this study, but
participant identities will not be disclosed.
Additionally, there is no cost to participate in this study.

Claudia (Chloe) Cooper, a doctoral candidate in the Liberty Theological Seminary,
at Liberty University, is conducting this study.
